“the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence” would be more apt.
If you agree with this, pl change accordingly.

Dear Mr. Kumar,
Thanks for your suggestion. Yes! The proverb suggested by you will suit better the Tamil proverb as well the illustration.
I will change it right away. Please read the remaining quotes also. I am looking forward to your suggestions and feedback.
with warm regards,
Mrs. Visalakshi Ramani.
P.S.
Veenaa was my pen name when I was Miss. Visalakshi Raman 🙂
P.P.S
I just found out that the proverb suggested by you has been posted with the suitable illustration as proverb # 107. So It will be difficult make the change now since both the picture and the proverb have been already used else where. In any case please continue to send your valuable
feedback. I will make the changes wherever possible.
with warm regards and thanks,
Visalakshi Ramani.
madam its very nice but can u put pronunciations of tamil proverbs?so that it will be easy to read?
Thank you for your feedback!
I have two options.
1. I can add the number suffixes 1, 2, 3 and 4 to the Tamil letters
and represent ka, kha, ga and gha etc as it is done in Sanskrit.
Otherwise I can add the Tamil proverb typed in English alphabets.
We call it Thanglish! 🙂
Which one will you find more useful?
Also this can not be done overnight.
I can take it up slowly after completing my other blogs.
Please give your suggestion.
Dear Madam,I’m real sorry for this late reply.i would like your second option.Alongwith this im suggesting one more favour of making audio clips of their pronunciations since im getting barrier of tamil accents also.
Since you can neither read Tamil letters nor know how to pronounce them,
I strongly advise that you stick to the well known English proverbs. 🙂
I am rewriting and improving some of my blogs and have really no free time to spare.
may i get your e-mail id?
No you may not! 🙂

Hello Madam,
Your blog is very much useful. Need a info. Do your blog have translations to Aathichoodi. If so, please let me know the link.
Dear Sir,
Thank you very much for your feedback.
I collected all these proverbs both in Tamil and English. I translated the Tamil ones into English – when I did not find a matching proverb. The same thing with English proverbs. When I could not find a matching one in Tamil, I just translated it. I added suitable cartoons to make them more interesting.
This is my very own collection and there is no link to any other literary work.
